It has been announced that Church buildings in Scotland can open for private prayer as of 22nd June. This is part of the opening up of society in the post-lockdown world. Juniper Green Church building will not be opening as part of this phase; it would be too complicated for us to open up the building given the restrictions that are still in place and the work we would need to do to make the building safe. Our building will only open as part of the later phases of the Scottish Government’s process; we will make that announcement when the time is right.
In the meantime, we would encourage you to pray at home, with your Bible and a cup of tea. The church building may be closed, but God has not gone away; the ears of heaven are still open. Paul reminds us what God is like:
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20)
